Here are some initial comments about the event which maintained local interest and stimulated some interesting suggestions!

The Music was the most popular - 40% explicitly mentioned it:

although not performing on the music stage, the African drums were also well received

... and ...

we had no adverse comments about the sound level interfering with other activities

Dance, too, was still popular this year

... but ...

the Indian dancing was missed

This year 24% of the responses were from people outside the WH area

There were very few "negatives" in the feedback:

the number porta-loos (ie too few) continue to receive criticism

the rain (a bit of drizzle!!), too, was unpopular, so how about a prize for the first practical suggestion for a solution to British weather?

... and some suggestions:

a few people would like to see more stalls

there were comments by 12% that more entertainment for teenagers and more promotion in local schools would improve the age diversity; however every school is sent posters - perhaps it's a reflection on the pressures schools face to concentrat on achieving their targets?

There were several suggestions to extend the scope of the festival:

more stalls would be welcome

more activities for children

Last year the most general suggestion was that more promotion was needed, this year there were no such comments - perhaps the large banners around the area and the free adverts in the Review newspapers had an effect?

There was overwhelming support for the scope and format of the festival - summed up as:

"Just keep going from strength to strength"

"Not sure if you can improve at all"

"Just more of the same"

"Nothing to improve"
